Short description
In the M3S project a hybrid and non-invasive brain-machine interface was developed for controlling computers and external devices particularly ofr handicapped people. The system combines the measurement of brain signals and eye movements. The combination of both signals in a hybrid system improves reliability and increases the intuitive usability of the BMI and thus also its possible application. The system enables people with disabilities in particular to participate in public and social life in a self-determined manner. You can use it to communicate quickly and securely with other people and, for example, control household appliances independently.

Description
In the M3S project a hybrid and non-invasive brain-machine interface is developed for controlling computers and external devices. A new fixation-related potentials (FRP) based Brain-Machine Interface was developed. The system was trained using Fisher’s Linear Discriminant Analysis and could classify intra-subject, single-trial event-related potentials (ERPS) with a high accuracy.
